Auderer Sheep Farm is a commercial sheep farm that consists of commercial ewe and seed stock flocks as well as a
lamb feedlot. While I enjoy working with sheep and farming in
general, I do not consider the sheep pets or a hobby. My primary interest is
making a profit from raising sheep.
We started with 2 ewes in 1986 and grew the flock to 117 ewes and 250
purchased feeder lambs by 2007. While current market conditions
have resulted in considerable contraction, I am continually looking for
ways to start growing again. |

Since those first sheep in 1986, I’ve learned a lot
about what it takes to successfully raise sheep. I have spent
considerable effort developing breeding strategies, selection methods,
marketing plans, feeding programs and health schedules with the sole
purpose of improving the profitability of commercial sheep production.
