Breeding didn't go exactly as planned Fall 2011 because PF2, who was to breed most of the ewes, was injured for much of the breeding season.

Purebred PolypayI purchased this ram from Irish Acres.  His dam has weaned 18 lambs in 7 years.  The ram weighed 288 lbs with a Body Condition Score of 3.  His lambs finished around 132 lbs.

Friesian x Polypay (PF2):  Born here, in 2010, to Cyan 17Cyan 17 weaned 18 lambs in 7 seasons.  The ram weighed 159 lbs at 180 days.  As a yearling, he weighed 210 lbs with a BCS of about 2.  His lambs finished around 134 lbs.

Friesian x Polypay (PF3):  Born here, in 2010, to Blue 6Sired by a Yellow 64 son.  Born a quintuplet and raised a quad, the ram weighed 148 lbs at 180 days.  As a yearling, he weighed 200 lbs with a BCS of about 2.  I did not use this ram much in Fall 2010, so I have very limited growth data on his lambs.

Charollais x SuffolkBorn here, in 2010, to White 193This ram had a bad start in life.  White 193 stole 2 lambs from Cyan 17's quads before having twins of her own.  She had no intention of raising quads and rejected the last born lamb.  My daughter Ashley stepped in and artificially reared the lamb.  He weighed 170 lbs at 180 days.  Not bad for a bottle lamb who was weaned at 30 days!!As a yearling, he weighed 228 lbs with a BCS of 3.  I used him for clean up in Fall 2011 - he bred several ewes.

Purebred Polypay.  I purchased this ram from Shady Lawn.  His dam weaned 15 lambs in 6 years (5 lambings, she aborted her first year).  The ram weighed 192 lbs at 235 days.  He was mated to Blue 6 and a handful of other ewes.
